A Note From The President
My name is Mark Philips and I’m the owner of Chameleon Sports in Orangeville Ontario Canada. This company was originally founded in Canada in January 2011 and invented this great product! I have been an entrepreneur for many years but more importantly, I’ve been a goalie for the past 30+ years and I have a deep understanding of the position and its culture.
We goalies are a quirky bunch, aren’t we? We get hit in the head (and many other places) by screaming hockey pucks, get run over, have all the pressure to perform every night and have to pay the most money for our equipment. And what do we get for our troubles? We get called names like “quirky” or “cookoo” for our troubles. So I guess it’s no surprise that we should like to be finicky about the colours we use on our equipment.
Fast forward to today and we are becoming ingrained in the game of hockey. We have saved kids, parents and teams alike thousands of dollars instead of having to buy new gear. Most NHL and minor pro teams now use all of our products, although you would never know since it all blends so seamlessly. Our most easily visible product is our high quality CageSkinz mask vinyl kits, as you can see many examples of pro goalies using it during games.
I have always wanted a way to change the colours on my goal pads or gloves.
